I know the lid has had some personal problems off the field that I don't really want to mention in detail here, but having just watched his interview on EvertonTV I think he comes across really well and not the loud-mouth divvy I for some reason had him made out to be in my head. Go Danny!

Yeah remember him playing fantastic for us once down at Wimbeldon, also recall him seeing his arse after being subbed and walking off dead slow shaking his head at Wally lol got the impression his heart was in it just not his head perhaps

I always remember he and Michael Owen broke through at the same time and about three months into their careers Danny had scored more than Owen and there was a national newspaper article saying that maybe we should be talking about him as the future of English football rather than Owen.

All went downhill fairly quickly for him, but at least it didn’t turn out as bad for him as Michael Branch!

Boss hair. All went wrong when the dreads went. Pienaar failed to heed his lesson.

Just remember this lads

Whatever has happened to the lid his names written into the folklore of the biggest derby in English football.

It was a shame Danny couldn't hit the same heights, he certainly had talent. The problem with the club in the 90's is that we had a lot of young strikers come through and just fall apart. From 1995 to 2002 ish we had Branch, Jevons, Cadamatri, Jeffers, Chadwick all come through and none of them really made it despite some good showings.

Should have got three!

How good was Big Dunc in that by the way?

when he battered mcateer by the paddock. What a moment but what a mismatch haha.

Great derby had a season ticket next to the away end right on the barrier in the paddock. Tin head off brookie in the next seat on the Liverpool side. Soon as cadamarteri scored he bailed to a chorus of tin head tin head what's the score

Boss

Lukaku should watch this video, how awesome was Dunc in those clips? to be fair to Hypia he was a top centre half in his day but Dunc seemed to destroy him in every 50/50.

As for Cadamateri, sometimes when young players burst onto the scene and then don't go in to win honours in the game people say 'he didn't fulfil his potential' but I don't think that's the case with Cadamateri. You can tell in the clips that he wasn't a natural striker like an Owen or even Jeffers who is one I'd say didnt meet his potential, but with Danny Cad he was only ever a burst of magic here and there

Went to an Everton dinner just after big Dunc went to Newcastle and Cadamateri was the most irritating and cocky player there. He thought he was the dogs bollox and was acting like it to the distaste of all diners and some players. He thought he had made it big time and I reckon that was his demise.

I always seemed to remember that goal from Cadamarteri as akin to that wonder goal Brazilian Ronaldo scored in his season at Barcelona. Think with hindsight I was being a bit kind on the lad.

think it was kvarme in that game, but i fully agree with you, pretty sure hyypia said he was the toughest player to mark, he still had a bit of his athletism in that game as well
