After hearing of Lars getting injured for 3 mths before he kicked a ball, it got me thinking have we had a decent Danish player? Lets consider the evidence.

Thomsen - Need i say anymore? Only player to get injured celebrating a goal summed him up

Degn - Hardly played and was useless when he did

Grav - Very hit and miss, mainly miss and non existent the 2nd time
around

Kroldrup - Moyes most expensive mistake

Cant think of any more but none have been a great success. Is it time to close the Danish border?

Harsh on Tommy, i feel the 1st time he was with us, he was a very good player, not always consistent, but a good player none the less.

You could possibly throw in the rest of Scandinavia as well to be honest. All the way back to Stefan Rehn. The only player from that region that's achieved a modicum of success was Mhyre. Suppose Limpar did ok.

I would however place a nice little bid for Daniel Agger in January - there are rumours in the Danish press that he is very unhappy at being on the bench, and that he can buy his own contract out for £2,5 m. He is the best Danish defender we have had for 20 years.

VDM was alot bigger mistake than Kordulp. Fiortiena bought him for 3M. We only lost 2M and 1/2 years salary on him.

Kroldrup cost us £3.5m up frount. It was only raising to £5m if we got to the champions league stage. Which we didn't, we sold him for £3.5 to florintina. So all he cost us was a few months wages.

But you are right. Danish players have been crap for us mate. Think we need to steer clear from now on.
