The channel being retained is a compromise to keep English Heritage happy

Yep, the BH leaks and the illustrations of the stadium in "Commonwealth Games mode" both telegraphed this. Very consistent with both.

Away fans are top right corner next to sewage plant/Regent road from earlier pictures of the ground. The large, steep home stand is the one by Nelson dock.

No mate it's the other way around. See the earlier pics that's been released today.
