But I have to admit, I do quite like the designs, and was not expecting to see these at this stage, this is obviously a lot further along than we all thought.

He specifically stated that it wouldn’t be a bowl, but four stands each with some element of a different character (to reflect how English grounds traditionally were built up a bit at a time, rather than the often bland new builds)

The seating plan certainly seems similar, but from the things he was taking about today I’d be surprise if that’s the final exterior.

Yeah I am just messing mate, you can see from the drawings its 4 distinct stands with the corners filled in. Now I have seen these I am more hopeful, although still a hell of a long way to go! Still plenty of time to Ev this up. (by the way thats not substituting a swear word!)

All four sides are unique, including the corners. It ain't going to be a soulless bowl and certainly pays homage to the Old Lady.

I like some aspects of what we're being shown (pleasantly surprised) but if it's just a flatish rising stadium I'd somewhat miss double decker stands like the Top Balcony (which I'd love us to replicate).
