Daily Mirror linking Everton fans with trouble at Kings Cross

Geordies hacked off at staring relegation flush in the grid after yet another defeat, decide to stick the boot into us after getting a random slap by some lids down the smoke, after gobbling off no doubt.

Well, the guy recording audibly says "Everton" in there, but I can't see what he's judging that off as I can't discern an accent or anything.

I'm not really bothered if it is fans of any given club really - whoever it is are bad bells. What I am bothered about is a national newspaper jumping the gun and blaming Evertonians without any proof. Crap like that sticks, so it had best be true.

From that distance it could easily be any of Chelsea, Millwall, Everton or any team that's worn Royal Blue in recent times (home or 2nd shirt). One person in a Blue shirt does not mean anything. There were several people there and, shirt or no shirt, the people aren't necessarily match going fans (if fan is the right word anyway) - it doesn't look like even a handful of any team's "fans" to me - and that's not even allowing for not having any idea who is doing what to whom.

Been to Goodison Park countless times and I can genuinely say I've never had the slightest bit bother on any occasion.

Kicked off a bit outside the SOL for the cup QF a few years ago but every club has it's share of tosser's following them, and will continue to have them, and I count my own club in that. The blokes involved are scum regardless of who they support, it really is that simple.

The mirror really are a disgrace reporting it how they have mind. Disgraceful trying to put shame like that on what is a cracking set of fans.

He actually says Evidence not everton listen properly.

Don't believe any of it prob west ham fans trying to gain few more points funny I was around there at the same time and never seen anything

That video just shows a bit of a scuffle between a few guys. I'm not condoning it but it's hardly newsworthy. That kind of thing probably happens hundreds of times a day outside pubs all over the country.

Could be anything.

Until it charges are pressed in this matter we won't know.

Fact is if it turns out not to be Everton fans - this person tweeting this will have effectively put a bullseye on our away support.

Recall the favoured 'Racist Club' that Arsenal fans still quote at us in the street...

Yup, Fever Pitch is responsible for that Arsenal aspect. Nick Hornby really did a number on us in that book

I wish our club would do something about stuff like this to actually challenge the Mirror on it

The Mirror is always saying crap about Everton and we just sit there and passively let them

I've boycotted that rag for over a year now and my life is much better for it

Derek McGovern is sticking the knife in on his betting column in the Sunday Mirror. Saying he is going to email Platini at UEFA and make him aware of the event and ask for Everton to be excluded from the fair play league highlighting this issue and the riots at Lille. Says its in UEFA best interests and the safety of European cities to ban us.

I genuinely hope that bloke gets arse cancer. Absolutely cannot stand him or anyone else makes a living out of being a professional troll.

Look at this Derek McGovern mirror article:

What hope is there of Liverpool and Everton sharing a stadium when most of their fans wouldn't share a taxi?

With Champions League flops Liverpool facing a fight to make the top four and Everton finding it even harder to make the top 14, the two Mersey clubs could be even more cash-strapped next season and some say that in five years' time they are a better bet than Tiger and his missus to be sharing a home.

If ground-sharing is good enough for Milan, the thinking goes, it should be good enough for Merseyside. But surely that misses the point, or in Everton's case, three points.

The San Siro works because AC Milan and Inter share not only the ground but also equal billing. At the San Giro, Liverpool would always be the dominant partner. Sooner or later the Mersey clubs would clash. Liverpool might demand a bigger treatment room, Everton a smaller trophy room.
And the potential for grisly practical jokes is obvious. Liverpool fans knowing Everton are at the stadium three days later might leave something unpleasant. The only thing Everton fans are likely to leave is early. Hills go just 4-1 for the Mersey giants and Everton to share a ground before the end of the 2014-15 season but Sky Bet offer a more realistic 25-1.

What sort of reporting's that for a big national newspaper?
