Do they hell! We finished 5th last season, a position we often finished in and around anyway; you're telling me a 17th place finish, our lowest in a decade would be acceptable?! The day we see 5th as an accomplishment is the day this club should just pack it all in. Packed stadium most weeks, massive history, ever-presents in the Premier League, we should be aiming higher.

We should. Moyes had us finish 17th nearly 10 years ago now. Should we have sacked him then and brought in Gary Megson, or Bryan Robson, or whomever was flavour of the month then?

I want CL football as much as the next man but I'm aware that any club struggling with injuries underperformance and Europa league will struggle to achieve that

The difference being that Motes didn't have the funds to spend £28m on one player and our average position for the previous 10 years was not 6th.

I'm by no means a Moyes fan, but Moyes certainly did not inherit the quality squad of players Martinez did.

He had Rooney just coming through, and a very nice accommodation was reached with Man U where £10M went through the books at the start of two seasons and everyone involved was very happy.

That was an awful transfer and to be fair to Moyes, the season after selling Rooney he finished 4th.

Yeh Steve Mcclaren wouldn't be the answer to our problems. Give Martinez until the end of the season to sort it out. Can't believe we're that bad that we'll be relegated. If he persists with his tip tap tactics that are failing at the minute, then come May 2015 BK will have to have a seriously long look at RMs future.
