I don't think yesterday's final climb was hard enough to separate the pure climbers fromStill not convinced by that. Yesterday there was an incredibly big group at the end, which doesn't suggest the pace was super hot.
I just hope someone manages to break this form of racing, as leaving it to a mountain bunch spring is not only incredibly dull to watch, but is handing the Tour on a place to Roglic.
Alaphilippe loses the jersey after a 20s penalty for taking a bottle within 20km to go.
Bravo the organisers. That's exactly what fans want to see.

Anyone on Zwift? I've not been on for a couple of months. When are the French maps available?
This Tour is a bit crap. First two mountain top finishes and we're having a group of about 30 riders at each looking like they're out for a club run.

Bizarrely, you have to put up with a load of crap circuits for the next 10 days. It wouldn't be so bad if races were going up it, but I can't recall seeing a single race in the French world since it was launched. Very strange given that they're blanket advertising on ITV4 during the Tour.
France is pretty good IMO - main loop is either flattish rolling with one small sharp pitch that can still split a group (R.G.V.) or the same plus a real climb (petit KOM) which is about 100m ascent. Hard to say what makes a good zwift world but I've enjoyed this one. Paris is also very decent but I've only done gp rides there, not tried a crit yet.Yeah, I guess this is the result of two dominant teams cancelling each other out. I guess DQS don't want to throw anyone up the road either given how well Alaphilipe is going.
That's a shame, the nights are drawing in and I'll soon be back on the damn thing.

I've not done the mega climb of Ventoux yet - sounds very tough if you ride it threshold, 1500m ascent but a lot of straight road. Doesn't have the switchbacks, or the average power breakdown, that help compartmentalise the Alpe du Zwift. Got to be done at some point.
Not the hardest of climbs were they. Jumbo are controlling things like the old sky team. This Tour is a bit crap. First two mountain top finishes and we're having a group of about 30 riders at each looking like they're out for a club run.

Yates said that the pace was high but it wasn't worth doing doing anything more because the break had taken all the bonuses.
Strange but that was reported in CN.
I think they've got the weekend on their minds.
