How anyone can look at the videos and not find them laughable is beyond me! Unless your a complete sky apologist

Man on couch critiques cadence of world class cyclist via twitter -Mechanical doping at work! Laughable. Yes.

Massive by Froome that - laid down the law when he had the upper hand, and hung in there when he didn't. He's a remote champion, so reaction will be muted by an large, but it is an immense feat to double grand tours.

It's interesting that when Flecha did his recce of the climb, Brailsford told him that Froome was running a 32 tooth cassette. I doubt many amateurs would risk the teasing on the club run with such a setup, even for something as brutal as the Angliru, but it perhaps explains how he could maintain a high cadence.

ha ha, the probably all rode a 32 tooth cassette. They talked about it before the race, some were saying they would ride MTB type gears.

That doesn't explain Froome's whacky races esque leg spinning.

not sure what you really mean? man on the coach? I've competed in lots of Triathlons. I did Ironman 70.3 last year. Anybody who has cycled up mountains knows how hard it is the even maintain a cadence on a climb... never mind increase it near the top on brutal inclines!

Sry I wasn't directing that comment at you specifically, I meant the general audience of doss bags who study Froome cycling round a bend and share their 'analysis' on twitter. Although tbh we're all men on the couch compared to pro cyclists.

Not sure why you post this bobbins as a cycling fan on this thread? I mean no one really likes Froome especially, but if you can't admire that ride he just did and are reduced to posting drivel about mechanical doping, then what is the point of following GT cycling?

Because I think him and his time a bunch of cheats and hypocrites who are destroying cycling.

He's no Cipo.

18 months handed down to Charlie Alliston today for wanton and furious driving - the cyclist riding a brakeless fixed mentioned up thread.

Sad story all round - there is little precedent for the case, and difficulties with the Victorian law it was brought under make it hard to compare to things like death by careless driving.

Aye, a terrible situation, and so very needless.

@Bruce Wayne Talk to me. Recommend me a road bike, I'm about to start doing the 20 mile round trip to work each day by bike so I need to look for a road bike rather than my mountain bike. It needs to take considerable strain as I'm a fatty.

We can talk about the doping once I've fully integrated into the sport.
