Cycling thread

Or you could alternatively say that they simply had the best riders. Armstrong was an undoubted turd, but he had riders like Heras, Landis, Hamilton, Beltran, Savoldelli et al as domestiques. Just as the support riders for Froome would be leaders on other teams, so too would most of Armstrong's support team.

I must say I find it odd however that you seem to deride US Postal whilst having a rider who to shot to prominence on US Postal under Bruneeyl.

everyone at the sharp end of cycling is juiced. I think most cycling fans know that.

No other team insults our intelligence with crap like marginal gains... fluffy pillows... no Nutella like Team Sky do.

Th problem is gullible brits believe it all. Even their mechanics are smacked off their tits and the sooner everyone admits it the better.

only my eyes and history.

A complete no mark until he recovers from a serious illness... form a train that destroys the peloton... claim its all down to a 'new' methodical approach and 'marginal gains' "its all about the cadence"

who am i describing? US postal or team sky?
Marginal gains, a fluffy pillow turns a no mark from Kenya into Britains greatest ever road cyclist. lol

Second greatest ever road cyclist maybe. Because when it comes to greatest ever, everyone needs to get in line behind Beryl.

Broke every record on the books. Her women's 12 hour time trial record of 277 miles set in 1967 stands TO THIS DAY, using a bike you wouldn't ride to the alehouse on nowadays. Was also the men's record at the time she set it.

The size of that chainring!

That's this year's Tour over then. Porte has probably broken his shoulder, and took Martin in the process (who I think will be okay). Don't think Froome will wait though. Why Aru had to wait on Froome is seriously beyond me; it's like they're doing everything to kill the race. Giro>Tfd

Unless Aru does something special, that's surely the race done?

It's a travesty. It's not a race any more tbh. He has mechanical failure, everybody is forced to wait. Aru is the only real competitor present, the others are resigned to losing. Froome isn't even that strong I reckon, he's weaker than previous years. At least try. Then you have Porte, why you would do what he did is beyond me. BMC was already trying hard to facilitate a SKY victory by doing work for them in the previous days.
