Already had a message from a Tory saying “you did this” with a link to the news article about him getting a knighthood. Like it was me that put him forward he followed it up by saying “he has ruined London…” I told him not to worry about it.

Do you, or perhaps more pertinently the Tory in question, live in London (or at least visit it regularly)?

Honestly I have no idea what version of London these people keep in their heads that they want to return to, away from the bustling multicultural metropolis it's become in the 21st century. I guess the 60s? Or the Blitz?

No, although I have been this year for a visit. No for him, he hasn’t been for decades which makes it even better.

He has recently retired and taken to looking at Twitter all day, so he’s got a full on hatred for stuff that he doesn’t know anything about which he reads from people with a in their user handles.

I thought he was better than that, but he’s fully immersed in to it.
