I joined the RAF in 2000 and they had only just started allowing people to come out and still be in the forces by then (that wasn’t the reason I joined
). Yet there were loads of Goths kicking about and Monster Energy drinks hadn’t even been invented by then, scandalous to let them be without punishment.
This decade long dalliance with populism and enabling of poor faith bigots and edgelords to be normalised in the political sphere needs to end. Some people opt out of decent society by their danger to it, kick them back in the long grass and demand politics that serves the masses, not the thickest, nefarious and the brainwashed.
