It's the strangest thing, I'm trying to think of a similar situation regards media spectacle, sadly the best I can do right now is that these grifter obnoxious racist types are a bit like what page three girls were, the media buzzed around the latest looker to whip her baps out, a few pics and some brief background and then onto the next, the tate's and laxley lennon's of this world are seemingly treated similar, the media buzz around them for a bit, a few sensationalist headlines, they get their arse out and then onto the next moron who's likely to say or so something stupid or borderline criminal or both. The media complicity in this stage show is the difference. Once the man in a sandwich board declaring 'the end of the world is nigh' was left to it to be laughed at in the street, now he has an agent and a prime time slot on 'channel kkk' on some obscure satellite service.
