I would imagine this girl in question was being bullied / felt ostracised prior to her becoming trans (im not arguing that now being trans the level of bullying hasn't got worse).

The problem in society on this subject my friend is that transgender / gender fluidity etc is incorporated in the LGBT umbrella so any discussion on the matter is trivialised and "normalised" for want of a better phrase. The problem with that is in that umbrella you have those groups based on sexual preference and those based on gender identity and they're two completely different things.

With this sort of thing I compare it to having a weed in your garden in which your instant solution to the issue is to simply cut the grass every fortnight but all you're doing is removing the head of the weed - you aint dealing with the root cause of the problem hence why rates of suicide, suicide attempts and depression/anxiety are so high in the transgender community (in particular the younger trans who are still developing emotionally/mentally).

Until we as a society stop trivialising this subject more and more young boys and girls are going to struggle with themselves because we don't try understand the root cause of their struggles.

The far left think they're helping these people but they are not - look at that trans comedian whipping his tally wacker oot on live television - if I or you did that we'll have been banged up man ! Even a biological woman would have gotten in hot water for flashing her gash (especially if she had a northern accent) yet those in the media and certain groups of the Left find it "hilarious" "empowering" and have essentially tried to turn trans into some fetishism/circus and its morally wrong imo.

I don`t think the Far Leftists are helping Trans people out, i think they`re using them for political gain. It`s cultural marxism/identity politics- race gender climate etc etc. Everything is politicised now.

The problem is you (and others) look at trans/gender identity in the same manner as homosexuality but its completely different and so are its origins yet we treat it the same as it falls under the LGBTQ "umbrella".

Homosexuality is a natural thing - its proven to transcend humans and is witnessed in many other species of animal. The difference when it comes to gender Identity/fluidity imo (as a scientific free thinker) is that it largely stems from human culture and the norms/values drilled into us all from an early age in society regarding gender roles.

We as humans have created our own societal values and for me a portion (not all or even majority) of those who go down the road of gender reassignment could have been prevented with proper support and a change in what values we hold in society (currently a lack of spirituality and the obsession with fitting in and certain desirable characteristics for a modern man/woman) but we're not allowed to investigate such things in fear of being "transphobic".

Dont get me wrong I have no issue with trans folk I can only imagine the mental struggle many must go through. If a fully developed adult who has gone through many years of support and counselling still wants to transition then all power to them I say - the issue I have is these parents/media pushing young kids down this road with little acknowledgement of how the feelings, values, mental health and self worth/identity of an average 14-18 year old tend to be radically different by the time when they're 35, 40, 50 etc.

I also dont agree with the increasing fetishism of sexualising younger trans with the big fake boobs etc by these rich old men.

Bears repeating: “Far left” has absolutely no say in the trans issue. It is a phrase used by the (far) right to pretend there is some sort of balance among the sides. But “far left” is mostly anarchists, weird violent authoritarian leaders, and anti-capitalists, etc.

Human rights, such as the trans issue, is mainstream and centrist, not far left. It is divided, to be sure, but it is not a major platform of extreme socialists, anarchists, the authoritarian left, etc.

Even in the poll below, if one were talking about "far left" the graphs would be far far more skewed to dark red. But they aren't. It is far more mainstream than folks claim. And anyways the question below (on right) is poorly worded as it asks adults to impute a mental state on to children; usually, poll questions that ask things like "do you think that in doing X, person Y is likely to think that..." is not a good basis for a question. As we all have watched legal dramas on TV, this question would be categorized under the objection of "speculation" since the witness can't factually know the opinion of the individual's mindset upon which the question is based.
