….the first away ground I visited, maybe 1962 as we had relatives who lived in Thornton Heath, always been a favourite of mine. I have the memory of walking to Selhurst and standing on the side terrace, I’d imagine they weren’t top flight back then.

Promoted from Division 4 as runners up to new Football League club Peterborough in 1961. Made it to the top flight for the first time in our history in 1969. Our first ever away game there was at Goodison Park.
