These players don’t care once they concede a goal. And then they completely give up once they go down by two. We’ve seen it time and time again this season. They can’t convince me otherwise because I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Their body language and lack of effort to follow in multiple times this game tells you everything. Yes mate, that was my point. You realise Allan and Gomes are very different players, right? So perhaps Lampard set up differently to accommodate what we have.

Maybe he identified weaknesses in how Palace play do thought this system may exploit that. We certainly lost momentum when Townsend went off.

As for your initial comparison with Benitez using this formation, that's off beam too. Benitez NEVER pressed or went on the front foot.
