This season we are very good on the counter and hard to break down but a bit toothless against deep defences having not had Wharton and Olise, relying on Eze to come up with something from nothing which he's been hot and cold at. We do finally have attacking depth and Wharton's over his season long groin problem now but I'm not really sure how we go about opening you up when we can't catch you up the pitch, we're not the best team in tight spaces. If we're forced wide on the ball our delivery in the box from the wing backs isn't reliable, though maybe Chilwell will improve that

Can see a dull game where we try and play through you and get nothing from it

Great opportunity here as we start a stretch of 5 very winnable games with a team playing well.

Unfortunately we are decimated by injuries, so hoping to take anything from this while we see what we can do without Ndiaye. Hopefully we also find out in this match that Alcaraz has a lot to offer?

Tough game they have been playing well, but then again so have we. If we didn’t have the injuries I’d bet on us to win this.

Ok, time to move on from the events of Wednesday evening. We ultimately enjoyed it however we now need to shift focus to the next game.

The derby was our game in hand and we took a point from the team everyone claims is the best at the moment and we could have won it. That stands us in good stead against any team.

All but one of Moyes’ games since returning have been at home so this may present a bit of a test in that it’s an away game but it’s clear to see the improvement he’s already made after just one month back.

So let’s look ahead and take confidence into this weekend, hopefully we can do the biz.

Difficult place to go, passionate fans and a good atmosphere, and they have some skillful players, and Wharton back who was one of the keys to their success last season. Lots of chasing and harrying needed and I'm not sure we'll have the energy for it, so I'll go for 2-0 Palace.

We actually have a pretty decent record against them, home and away. Only two losses since 2015 and one of those was in the cup. Is Eze available? He always gives us trouble.

They guys should be on a high after Wednesday. The momentum is 100% back. Concerned though over the lack of depth in the squad. I'd be happy with an away draw on this one if I'm honest.
