I go surfing quite a bit and to be honest to wear going to and from the beach they are great. I have to say though Ive owned a pair for 2 years so I put it down to the fact that I am a trend setter.

Thats the thing- I'm me, I dont conform to rules. I wear crocs to the beach and they are easy to whack on and off with a shed load of sand in. Im not too worried about how they look because its a comfort thing.
