How anyone believes a word from the mouths of the BBC rats covering this issue is beyond me. That organisation has strong links with Atlanticist think tanks like the Royal United Services Institute, Chatham House and The British American Project. They are finishing schools for BBC Cold War hawks.

Basically: anything their reporters tell you should be binned as pure, unrefined propaganda.

It's laughable that the BBC look down their noses at Russia Today and chuckle at the North Korean state broadcasters, because that's their exact same level....and now they're working with the pathetic May Government to take your World Cup away from you.

Lol.

The Russians? Not exactly arsed about a few quid off English mugs.

Money is not the issue. Propaganda is the issue. Putin knows he will win the next election, as does everyone in Russia, but what he craves is for Russia and himself to be seen and loved and feared on the world stage. The 1936 Olympics comes to mind. Pulling the England team in itself will do little, but voices in Germany are demanding the same for their own team because of this outrageous assault. This is world wide propaganda and he will be seriously weakened if it happens.....

As long as the top teams turn up (and they will) the tournament is a guaranteed success.

No one will be arsed if England's round of 16 destined donkeys turn up or not.

I agree with your comments regarding the BBC. But let’s not try to do down the likes of RUSI which is a strategic and military think tank. I used to be a member of RUSI and have presented at several of their events........

It will be a good test of EU solidarity then won’t it. If England pulls out because of a dangerous attack upon a U.K. town, because that is what it is, it was not a simple assassination, then the U.K. would have to reconsider its own guarantees to members of the EU and NATO. This isn’t like the previous events, if you lived in Salisbury you would be concerned for your children and family that such a reckless attack has taken place with a military grade nerve agent. This is serious......

It's a wiki page briefly describing a text that's allegedly widely used in Russia to form geopolitical strategy, therefore it's teleological in nature. However, a couple of its ambitions are close to being acheived amidst, guess what, a flurry of accusations of Russian meddling and the government's of the two Nation's concerned blocking transparency into official enquiries regarding funding.

Surely you agree that May's three-line whip to hide the source of funding chanelled via the dup was wrong.

I’m not sure what point you are making, unless it is to attempt to justify Corbyn’s disgraceful response to this issue........

Not sure that "now they're working with the pathetic May Government" is correct; they've been at the control of the Tories ever since BBC management realised that their charter was up for renewal.

‘At the control’.....I wouldn’t like to see them if they were out of control......

I'd have thought that EU and NATO allies would take a good look at what we have done and what we will do before doing things on our behalf. Why should they do anything when we have been extremely reluctant to do anything ourselves up until this point, despite everything Putin has done?

Pete, you don't get to call someone a traitor for two weeks and then complain when he correctly points out that you've been taking hundreds of thousands of pounds from the people who have just used nerve agents on our streets. I would also point out that he actually proposed stronger and more effective measures against Putin and his chums than anything May has come up with in her entire time in Government.

Yet I believe he and other Labour people turn up on RT on a regular basis. I’m sure they are not paid for this though......

I agree that we have to lead on this, if we do nothing we will look both stupid and weak.....

...then you'll know they have a very cosy relationship with the national broadcaster.
