Lancs lose yet another game that they shouldn't lose

What a waste of a season
Terrible effort, out of all the first innings totals around the one day cup today they were chasing by far the lowest.

It's a bit weird though having these games the same time as the hundred. Must really test the depths of some county squads. Plus the hundred is pants.

Even weirder are Lancs' team selections.

Croft is apparently fit and available but instead has been sat on the balcony 'coaching'.

Bailey and Williams both available but never play in the same game.

I'm all for giving youth a chance - which this tournament is great for - and they've all shown glimpses of their talent but for a game like yesterday that they had to win surely Bailey and Williams could both have played.

No surprise that the match-winning bowler yesterday was the experienced Brad Wheal.

Excellent win for Lancashire, beating Middlesex by 10 runs. Lancashire (5th), play Notts (4th) on Tuesday in their final game. Win, and they're through to the quarter-finals
Good for Lancs, but can't help but feel the hundred is another nail in the coffin for County cricket.

The one day cup running simultaneously means that counties are having to dig deep to pick a team. The paying spectators want to see proper first xi cricket. It's all very sad.

Top three go through.

Lancs playing Notts who are batting, currently 9-2, 7 overs. Kent are playing Hampshire.

The feed is a bit ropy.

We all feel a connection to the teams we support for different reasons, but I would say I feel aligned to this England test team more than any other I've followed. The messaging, the positive leadership, the desire for fun and entertainment, the removal of blame culture and the removal of results at all cost mentality. I absolutely love these boys.
