We’re making them follow on. Been a few spots of rain on the camera so maybe the weather is an issue. I’m watching without commentary so maybe they have covered this
New Zealand cricket pitches don't tend to break up on day five, which means whether it's day three, four or five, generally they're still pretty good to bat on. The Basin Reserve also is one of the more batter-friendly grounds in the country, along with probably Hagley Oval. So I figure that's what played a part in Stokes and McCullum's thinking to enforce the follow-on.Absolutely shocked they enforced the follow on on day 3. I'd have batted again 100% but what do I know
Half nine.Does anyone know if it will start at half nine again tonight instead of ten due to lost overs?
Cheers mate.Half nine.
I didnt get it myself, especially already 1 up in the series.Cheers mate.
Do you think it was the correct decision to enforced the follow on? I thought, albeit in hindsight because I wasn't watching live, that we shouldn't because the way we bat means we could have set them about 450/500 to win in two days. I'm not going to criticise because they've done little wrong lately and we could still win.
Nowadays they go for the bold option, can't really criticise them, even if it doesn't occasionally work out. Better this than teams of old making sure they can't lose the match and batting too long.Cheers mate.

But I thought the way we bat (so quickly) it would be positive/bold to bat again? Score a shed load of quick runs and put them back in with no chance of winning and to just try and save the game.Nowadays they go for the bold option, can't really criticise them, even if it doesn't occasionally work out. The thinking probably was to bowl them out for an innings win and no need to bat again. I think they'll win pretty quickly today. But I thought the way we bat (so quickly) it would be positive/bold to bat again?
