That is exactly how Root should play in this team. There is no need for him to take lots of unnecessary risks, because he is far too good for that. He scores naturally at a strike rate of about 60, and that is fine considering how everyone else plays around him. Same goes for Foakes actually, he scores quick enough playing his naturally style.
