It’s like watching Spurs under Ardiles. I was well jell.
It does seem a bit odd that they can't have one or two (Root and Pope perhaps) play normally and let the carnage go on around them. Time isn't an issue so they don't "need" to score so quickly.
If it ain't broken, don't fix it. The tactic is currently working, so I don't think they'll want to amend their play. At some point they'll come afoul, and it'll change then.

Broad is on one of those spells this morning.
Broad has obviously had numerous spells like this in his career, so it can’t be attributed to the currently style. However, I suspect it must help.
The confidence that oozes through them is probably infectious; in a more diplomatic way, the team talk may be akin to, “Smash their grins in!”
It will bite us on the backside one day, but right now we’re playing well, winning, it’s enjoyable to watch and importantly enjoyable for them.
Oh for sure. The last 12 months have been little short of incredible. I haven't seen anything like it, especially given how dire they were in the final years of Root's captaincy. The transformation is unreal.
