Wells looked incredible. Coached Jones and Balderson through that innings. Barely looked troubled all day.

I think he's a real talent. If like to see him pick a spot in the order and be given a chance. Opener or number 5/6 then chipping in with wickets.

It's unfortunate he seems to not excel at either bit be very dependable at both. Otherwise I think he'd start to get a lot more recognition.

That's a great win for Lancashire. now third in the table, 16 points behind Hampshire and 19 behind Surrey. Next championship match is against Gloucestershire In ten days' time. Back to the T20 matches, playing Northants on Friday.

I'm not sure he's either, in a good way. He's like a genuine allrounder but he's yet to actually find his feet in either discipline so he's more of a bits and pieces player. Personally i'd like to see him batting at 6 and getting plenty of overs but there's plenty of competition in this side. He's a very talented lad though, if he does settle down and start putting it together he can go a long way.
