…..it could come to a point where they’ll be looking to declare. You’d think they’ll want a lead of 300, a bit of rain about tomorrow but probably dry in the South.
You could be right - could all change with the new ball though. Strange to see Croft bowling while Wells hasn't bowled.

Gubbins batting well again, a bit like Compton did against us. A few years since he was tipped to open for England - batting on that Lords pitch every other week did him no favours. Brown looking like a shrewd signing, despite that dropped catch yesterday!

My money's on a Rob Jones/Danny Lamb century partnership to steer Lancy home tomorrow! :drunk:

….fingers crossed, Mick.

Close : Lancashire 9-0. Tough day tomorrow.
Yes a draw would be a good result now but it's still a good pitch - good start needed and then bat solidly until tea and have a look at it.

To be fair to Danny Lamb he bowled a lot better in his spell after they took the new ball and deserved his wickets. Still shouldn't be playing though!

I've switched to watching Derby v Glamorgan to see if ex-Lancs Brook Guest can score his second century in the match. Looks a much improved player, which just goes to show how some can flourish if given a run in the team.

Same could be said, even more so, for Jordan Clark at Surrey.
