Cricket

Anyone on here watch this recent series about Allen Stanford? I dont really watch cricket these days, but i recorded this a few weeks ago, "The Man Who Bought Cricket", its a fascinating series about fraud, corruption and a general nutter, goes much much deeper then just the sport, anyone watch it or remeber that All Stars 20million game?

Hope he proves me wrong, and to be fair it's only day two, although on a dry wicket, but leach ain't good enough. If we ain't got a decent spinner then go with another seamer or play someone a bit different like livingstone who's an explosive batter who can bowl spin.

Nathon Lyon is nowhere near the class of Shane Warne or even Stuart Magill, but he gets turn (and wickets) when called upon, even early in the game.

Lunch, West Indies 271-5, 40 behind, Mark Wood injured again and off the field after bowling only one over. Stokes will now be over bowled.

England have had 2 decent spinners in the last 40 years (Swann and Rashid IMO) Seen some absolute dross before and since.

I know what you mean but 40 years is stretching it a little: Emburey and Edmonds played in that time, and Tufnell as well. Derek Underwood only just misses out, playing his last test in February 82, which is a lot later than I would have guessed.

Otherwise the cupboard is bare.
