The rain, it raineth every day
Probably too late but two quick wickets for England, India 176-6, 46.4 overs, need 13 to win.
Yes it did, and then being bowled out quickly once Rew was out - another 30 runs in those 5 overs could have made a difference. it was a shame that England's in form batsmen couldn't keep it going for one more game but I think the best team won. That all-rounder who won man of the match was very impressive - the delivery that Bell received first ball would have got most batsmen out. The two Lancs bowlers again bowled well - Aspinwall had no luck. I thought Prest kept himself on for too long, bowling his 10 overs economically without looking like taking a wicket.India win by four wickets, unfortunately the very poor start for England proved crucial.
Had a feeling they might leave them out but I'll bet Mahmood wishes Jimmy was on the tour. Good to see Fisher selected - I thought he was a cert for England when I first saw him when he was only 17. So many injuries. Big chance for Parky and Alex Lees who will presumably open the batting with Crawley.Anderson and Broad dropped, loads of other omissions, Mahmood and Parkinson in the squad.

All of the problems going on in the test side, and they start to solve it by “dropping” probably the two least problematical members of the squad! Stuart Broad’s cards were marked as soon as he came out with “doesn’t matter what bowlers you play if you trying to defend 140 every time”!Anderson and Broad dropped, loads of other omissions, Mahmood and Parkinson in the squad.

Those two aren’t going to last forever. Would seem sensible to give some youngsters some experience at that level. All of the problems going on in the test side, and they start to solve it by “dropping” probably the two least problematical members of the squad! Good to see Mahmoud and Parkinson in though!
That’ll be the thinking, but it’ll be interesting now to see who steps up and takes the wickets out there! Those two aren’t going to last forever. Would seem sensible to give some youngsters some experience at that level.
