I have only just got home,looks like the Sussex bowlers have been steady and Lancs have been slowly accumulating runs. Looks a good even contest.

Lancs collapsing. Been impressed with the young Sussex bowlers. Carson looks a real prospect and Atkins, while a bit fortunate with his wicket, has had an impressive debut.
Lancs seemed to be accumulating carefully so as to get a big enough score to only bat once: not worked!

Carson has bowled well since his debut last year,as you say looks a really good prospect.I like it that Sussex are giving these youngsters an opportunity to play county rather than 2nd XI I still think this is going to be a tight game.

Yes I like to see youngsters given a chance. I remember being impressed by Carson and Crocombe last year, and Atkins looked good today. Impressed right from the start when he was happy bowling over and around the wicket to the Lancs openers. Seemed to get more bounce than the other bowlers too - I think the ball that got Vilas bounced more than he expected.

Bohannon and Lamb did well to see Lancs through to the close with no further losses.

I only saw his wicket taking spell and yes he did look good. Having Ian Salisbury and James Kirtley as coaches has to be good for their development.
Bohannon and Lamb dug in really well and maybe a platform to start tomorrow. I also thought Lamb bowled well yesterday.
