Cricket

...yep, listening to live radio commentary, forgot you can watch. Doh.

Proctor out for 93, Lancs win.
Great day's cricket, Northants battled all the way. Good all round performance from Lancs.

Some good games elsewhere too. Great to see Gloucester beat Zomerzet, disappointed Essex wriggled home against Durham. Surrey yet to win, :) but runs for Ollie Pope :)

Let's hope he'll play for Lancashire in the near future.

Liam Livingstone: England batsman pulls out of IPL.

England batsman Liam Livingstone has pulled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League because of "bubble fatigue".

His Rajasthan Royals team said that the 27-year-old flew home on Monday.

"We understand and respect his decision, and will continue supporting him in any way we can," said the Royals.

Livingstone had toured South Africa and India with England this winter, as well as playing in Australia's Big Bash.

Because of coronavirus, tours and leagues are taking place in bio-secure 'bubbles', players often only allowed to leave their hotel for matches and training.

Livingstone had not featured in a game for the Royals, who have also lost England pair Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer to injury.

Jimmy Anderson out of tomorrows game with Kent due to a tight calf.
Luke Wells and Jack Blatherwick, who bowled well for the 2nds this week, added to the squad with Hartley missing out.

Kent won the toss and bowled.

Davies caught behind for 1, Luke Wells in for his debut. 13-1

Lancs left out Mahmood (rotation), brought in Lamb and Wells, so they are playing just 4 bowlers, Bailey, Wood, Lamb and Parkinson, plus a bit of medium pace from Bohannon.

Sussex doing well again thanks to their young bowling attack. I see Luke Wells is now playing for Lancashire. Good solid batsmen, not a quick scorer but can bat for a long time.
Yes I like some of those young Sussex bowlers - good to see Garton bowl better than he did against Lancs, when he was all over the place. Wells batted well today - wasn't he the highest English run scorer in 2018?

Lancs 179-4 at tea with Bohannon looking solid on 53, and Vilas fluent on 50.

Milnes had a good battle with Bohannon - lots of verbals. :)

Garton bowled well today, think he had a slight heel problem at Old Trafford as he only bowled a couple of overs in the last game.I hope Wells does well for you.
This season Sussex have split the one days and championship teams with different coaches. We are using the 4 day game as a development squad,so far so good.
