Cricket

India struggling with Kohli back home and injuries to key men, both to their starting line up and further added to today, now a bowler short.

Australia have been absolutely ruthless and taken full advantage after the early blip gave false hope to the tourists, Labuschagne, dropped a couple of times himself, the star with yet another hundred - brilliant he's a run machine. Green and Paine now trying to build on the platform and set a big first innings total.

274-5 Marnus made 108

the test final at Lords...looking like Aussie vs Poms? Whilst I dislike their cricket team immensely, I think Aussie is probably the best team on the basis of their bowling attack. But at home, the Poms should give them a good game.

No it's not, what sources are you looking at?

Australia versus NZ far more likely imo. It's a bit of a farce as two test 'so called series' are equal in points to five test ones which obviously distorts and gives an unsatisfactory table - there is no like with like or everyone plays the same number of games, no difference between home or away - it doesn't matter, and no equivalence on how many tests against what opposition, there's really little point to the concept.

Australia lead from India (before this test between the two) New Zealand could well be second after it, England a little behind in fourth but the uneveness of games played etc is obvious.

I was not sure...hence the question mark. I wondered whether an away win in Sri Lanka might have propelled England above India (and possibly NZ). I think Aussie v Poms would be a better head to head as NZ (my team) always crumbles when they play the convicts.

lol I’ve just found out I have the same problem with using my brother’s. Can’t watch the footy either. There’s plenty of streams about but it’s not quite the same.
Didn’t realise that was because of Brexit mind you
Aye for sky go it’s because of Brexit. Previously it was possible to use it in EU countries provided it was also being accessed regularly from the UK. Luckily for the footy there are other alternatives but for cricket it might be harder. I’m not big on the old streams either

Tbh it's a concept so badly flawed as to be largely pointless, noone takes a blind bit of notice of it when the ashes or far more important contests are taking place, rather like rankings, its hopelessly flawed and not like with like.

Some nations don't really play proper test series as it costs too much for them to stage making it not financially viable for them with small crowds and no major TV rights, all of which gives an inherent uneveness and unfairness which can't be overcome by any system.

not disagreeing with any of those points. I think a final is a bit of a nonsense as well (I won't be watching regardless who's in it). But I don't mind rankings per se...just leave it as that (a la tennis or golf rankings)
