whilst that's true, i mean it his fault, but at the same time, he's scored a quick 50 and timed the run chase easily really. I mean they should have shown more intent from 10-15 imo and not left themselves needing his big hitting in the 19th just to get back on top. But regardless, him and roy aside, as niall o'brien pointed out the rest were pathetic. I'd personally like to see a team like below that i believe would win the world cup:

Think that's got a top 3 that can just go all out blazing even if they lose one or two wickets, you have Morgan and Stokes to rebuild if required and then buttler and curran with powerhouse finishing and the possibility to re-jig based on the game circumstance. Also got 6 bowlers if one has an off day, plenty of pace available if need be, good choice of death bowlers, swing and big power hitting all the way down to 11. If england were batting first yesterday they'd have got near 200, the batting line-up was too short and they were a bit more reserved to stay in line with the target total. That team above won't have to worry about any score, they can just continue to play attacking cricket no matter who they're playing. Bairstow and Denly are a total no go for me.
Would still have Bairstow in instead of Banton. Don't get the Bairstow hate that seems to be prevalent at the moment. I can't think that any bowling attack wants to face Roy/Bairstow upfront.

Crap, I forgot malan in my team, he'd be in for Hales who's obviously not going to be picked. I like bairstow, would have him in the squad and can play in some games, but I'd want 3 proper bishers at the top to set up regular scores of 190+
