Each team will face the other three teams in their Super Eight group once, with the top two from each group qualifying for the semi-finals.
The two semi-final winners will meet in the final to contest the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 title on March 8.
He hasn't been in the team since 2019.Why is Root not selected for the t20 world cup. Am I missing something
Maybe I'm old fashioned but I don't think it's smart to leave out your best player in conditions where he is consistently your best player. He hasn't been in the team since 2019.

There is that, but I'd rather he have a rest before the start of the new season, he's played an awful lot of cricket, and he is our best player.Maybe I'm old fashioned but I don't think it's smart to leave out your best player in conditions where he is consistently your best player.
There is no way he is a worse player in these conditions than Bethell Jacks Duckett etc
