This was the biggest mistake, you have to protect Root so close to lunch. Really was brainless cricket and will cost us.

Brook is a hell of a cricketer. Bats at a high tempo without playing dumb shots. Elegant as they come through the off side, which strangely the NZ bowlers seemed to want to keep bowling there to him. They bowled a foot too short and couldn't hold some simple catches. Game in the balance.
