Looking forward to this test series. Will catch a good couple of hours each night
Plenty of logic to it, we need to create an option at 3 and Bethnal can hopefully replicate at the very least the role Mo Ali did in the later ashes tests that allows our gun batsman to bat in their preferred positions.
That line up bats deep and has 6 bowling options. We are however away to a team thar has just achieved the greatest series win I can recall in a long time.
Going to be a good series imo and agree about the lineup. I think people are worried that Bethnal is a tad green

One of the strongest New Zealand teams I can remember seeing. Especially batting. Phillips is a really underrated all rounder.

Anyone disappointed with Atkinson's pace? He came into the team as a high 80's bowler

Losing his footing, Hagley Oval's pitches are very green and lush, there will be a bit of morning moisture underfoot and he's a guy that looks to plant that back foot before unloading, he'll struggle for pace till some footmarks develop I think.

Seems a nice guy Williamson but looks like he smells of rotten vegetables.

New Zealand really has some of the most gorgeous cricket grounds. This wicket is very tennis ball like, but there will be a lot of runs in it this test when it browns off.

Can't help but feel England are wasting the new ball here, a lot can change in the first session especially after I type this but they've not been consistent in the corridor long enough.
Looks tough to get a rhythm going with all the feet slipping. New Zealand haven’t had too many scares.
