Some people have made the point that right-wingers boycotting Nike is just as bad. While it is very stupid what they did, this point just is not true. Nike made a concious decision to involve Colin Kaepernick in their company, whereas Yorkshire Tea did not ask for a photo to be taken of the chancellor making some tea. lol Just saying...

Basically people can follow around people they don't like, take pictures of them using products or services without being paid or even without the company's knowledge and then use social media as a weapon against the company who are forced to go into a media campaign to protect their reputation and with it the jobs of the workers that go with it.

Its a 'kin teabag
Yorkshire - Boycott... all seems in order here, nothing to see, move along please.

I boycott anything red or rs related, I don't find it strange and as long as I don't dislike red and associated products more than is reasonable, big deal.

Would you feel more comfortable with the comparison about people boycotting Cadburys as they think they've removed the word 'Easter' from their Easter Eggs?

This type of partisan 'whataboutism' is typical of the way the world is going.

Shame really.

Everyone, everywhere with an continual agenda.

I miss the days society could just point and call someone, or something a nobhead for being, well nobheads.

Now it's "well, they're sort of on my side so lets find others on the other side who have been equal, or bigger nobheads"

Whataboutery is a plague on this planet

So a politician drinks Yorkshire Tea, something the actual makers of Yorkshire Tea have no control over whatsoever nor do they endorse said politician drinking said tea, and now some think they must be boycotted?

This bloody planet. Just send the asteroid already FFS

If a football club/celebrity/politician I don't particularly like are promoting a product and they're getting paid to advertise it I think it's fair to boycott. Not sure that's the case in this instance though. But you can never trust a tory.
