One problem I've noticed with Howard is that he always seems so tiny in his goal. Top keepers like Hart and Buffon always seem to look massive in their goals. It's probably to do with their angles more than their actual size, as Howard's 6'3. He always seems rooted and takes up poor positions.

The psychological effect of seeing a keeper dwarf his goal is surely substantial. I just think other teams aren't at all scared of Howard, and strikers probably fancy themselves when they're bearing down on his goal.

Gordon always struck me as someone who's agile and he can make saves over every inch of his goal. I think that's definitely something Howard doesn't have.

Bare forearms makes them look massive and cool, not even joking.

I have always rated Howard as one of the top 3 Keepers in England, until the last 18 months, when his game and confidence seems to have gone badly downhill, he is not a strong keeper any more and you can attribute a lot of goals we've conceded to a mistake of his this season. Craig Gordon is an excellent tall, big and agile Keeper who could be world class, the problem being a terrible injury record, still don't know why Sunderland didn't bust a bollock to keep him though, Mignolet is good but a fit Craig Gordon is above their level. What I am saying is yes I would be all for this signing as either A) Howard is suffering for form because he needs real competition or B) Howard's game is deteriorating and he finally needs to be replaced.

Gordon should be snapped up, if the money allows it. I wouldn't want to be spending much on him but I do think he is worth the gamble, as when he is fit he is very good and will give Howard competition - something he hasn't had in a long time!
I still think Howard is great but he does seem to have gotten a bit complacent.

This'll be another few quid donation to the Infirm Old Caledonian footballer's pension fund. Treasurer: Davie Weir. Recipients: James McFadden; Craig Gordon; Alec Clelland; Richard Gough.

Whoever we had in charge eventually you wouldn't be happy.

Is Cudicini still around? Remember him always doing well whenever he's had a chance at Chelsea/Spurs.

Also, that lad Jack Butland everyone was raving about. He looks like a bullet dodged from what I've heard from my Brummie mates.

I'd prefer Mucha to Howard all day. NEA

what does NEA mean... otherwise
