I've been. It's a magnificent country but what surprises people is the discipline and value put on law and order there by the ordinary joe and josephine.

I think the Asian work culture has had a strong influence on the culture over the last 50 years. People I know were really quite surprised when going to work there, and more generally, thinking it was going to be all smiles and waltzing matildas.

The attitude towards immigrants has become less tolerant, which I guess is just reflective of a broader global trend. I'd heartily recommend a vacation down there, but, and even if it was practical, I wouldn't uproot and go and live there.

Ace country and people. Been to a few different places there and enjoyed all. Apart from Darwin which is crap. The Aussies are a much better version of the English.

Never been, but a few mates have moved there. And after a couple of years, came back. It was so boring living there was the common complaint. Nice people though. And maybe they were in Darwin.

Haha, why did I put Harris! Must have been thinking of old footballers after Trevor Francis and Chris BW passing away yesterday!

Also, isn't it Reed?
