Could this be the end for Paddy Boyle!

Looks like Paddy Boyle will be staying at Crewe untill the end of the season.

With Baines and Lescott, not to mention Valente ahead of him for the LB spot and talks with Davey Moyes over his long term future due to take place is this the end for young Paddy?

Could be.

In the one match I saw him play (Columbus Crew preseason a few years ago) he looked solid but not spectacular.

I think he's caught in a numbers game and will have to move on to further his career.

Hopefully there'll be some sort of fee or deal in place, first dabs on a Crewe prospect maybe, not than any spring to mind.

with baines, lescott and neville. the left back spot appears a closed book.

with him on loan and injured in the past, who has covered LB for the reserves?

how old is he? Valente is off this summer, Neville is 28/29 already, and Lescott is preferably a CB. We will still need decent cover at that position in the forseable future, and if he can wait then he could push for a 1st team spot if he's good enough.

Neville is 31! NOT TO MENTION, A BAG OF [Poor language removed]!

Lescott should be CB, Baines for LB, [Poor language removed] Valente off, he's nearly as bad as Neville (had a good game against Spurs but he's too injury-prone), get Boyle back.

If Boyle and Valente go then we could do worse than try for Taye(sp) of Nigeria. Hard as nails left back with a cracking shot on him, plays in France so i'm led to believe,Yobo & Yak could have a quiet word with him.

Taiwo? (sp) I'd go with that. Plays for Marsielle which is where we poached Yobo from. Definitely worth a look.

Taye Taiwo is a complete left back and I would love for him to come to the squad but I'm pretty sure bigger teams are already placing bids for him this summer.
