Finally, it has hit my family. My sister at Christmas but now my daughter, a nurse, is positive. That means self isolation for us for ten days.

Any chance of a good result tomorrow to lift hearts?

Oh we have them, but no more laws that say you have to stay at home. Personally I would, but no longer law…we’re learning to live with it, just like the flu……

Ok I was being a bit sarcastic mate. I am concerned that this is not a thing of the past as yet. Lifting our guard too early is not something I am comfortable about

My wife and daughter are both nurses,, observing the rules, yet my daughter is the one who gets it. Tbh I suspect she picked it up on an evening out with pals.

Personally I only go to the supermarket for essential provisions

So far, I have avoided it but this variant is highly transmissible. I also think there will be more variants.

I am normally a glass half full.person, but when I see it hitting so many otherwise healthy people it causes me concern

Myself and many of my friends caught it last October/November and dutifully stayed in for 14 days. In truth it was fairly mild and no more than a cold. This was just before we had our third jabs. So now fully jabbed and also having had it at least once, no one is letting it dominate our lives anymore…this herd immunity thing and the triple jabs seem to be doing the job. People are getting back to normal and no one even mentions it anymore…….

I'm sure I saw the other day that the 4th jab will only be offered to those at risk! So maybe we will not have the choice any way! ?

Tested positive today after managing to avoid it for ages beforehand. Not feeling too shabby. No coincidence that it was during the first time I’ve been back to the U.K. in a while. Scruff nation
