Sure. But a bigger problem is the distrust with the (mainstream) media at large.
This whole discussion was started by your insinuation that the UK media wouldn’t report the South African ministers’ statement (for some nefarious reason), but actually, it was reported, hours before your post. But I reckon that fact won’t change your underlying belief one bit.
I saw this with a couple of my very good friends who are anti-vaxxers, who were banging on, on Facebook, about how protest marches weren’t being reported. When I linked them about a dozen national stories of reports about the marches, the response was “well it wasn’t reported on the 10pm news” or “it wasn’t reported properly.”
There’s a weird drive that media should report “exactly what I want, in the way I want it”, and to me that’s more worrying than the problems in MSM.
Aaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! Should I start freaking out?! Why are the UKHSA trying to frighten me into servitude?
Or should I read the information and judge the risk level, and what appropriate action may or may not be required?

The way he casually talks about the destruction (his words not mine) to society, families and individuals from restrictions is actually quite refreshingly honest.
The “we’re all in it together” fallacy well and truly is exposed now.
