Happy to see that news, hopefully businesses won’t have to rely too long on it

We got told yesterday that we would be recieving 100% pay, at least for the initial lockdown period, with the company topping up the 80% furlough, something they didn’t do earlier in the year when we were previously furloughed which is reassuring

It still doesn’t excuse someone to walk into a care home and attack somebody though.

If I had a grievance about policy that was above your level of responsibility for a patient, would you be happy for me to turn up and give you a good pasting? What if you’d never met me, but I turned up claiming the patient was my parent. Would you not have reservations about letting them be taken away?

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, break a leg dear. lol

1 year of furlough that will be. The approach has been disorganised and a bit reactionary, but it's generous support. I think Sunak has done very well.

Although once we get through all this, long term tax rises are inevitable and probably big ones.
Absolutely.

As it should be. The state forks out in bad times, take more tax in good times

Oh go figure we are now the United Kingdom again when its only polically prudent to be, Rishi finally extends Furlough to all, well done Drakeford Burnham and Sturgeon etc.

"You cant extend the furlough scheme, Dave. It cant go on. It's just not possible. The government cant keep doing it"

Furlough until March but we're apparently out of lockdown at the start of December?

Doesn't really add up does it?

Not a chance we're out of it at the start of December. Will be extended a couple of weeks I think (primarily because it won't have the desired effect because it isn't a real lockdown). Then Boris will 'save Christmas' before we go back into lockdown in January through to March.

There is no end to lockdown in December. Not for hospitality and some retail.

Anyone thinking that it's to get Christmas back in play are kidding themselves.

What do you think will happens with Christmas? A 1 day period where rule of 6 is allowed or something? I cannot see how they'll be able to allow that as it goes against the whole lockdown approach.
