March 2021, if there is still no vaccine in sight, we are back normal. The old and weak may choose to stay indoors till the vaccine arrives. But governments won't be intervening in social life matters.

I`ve mentioned it before, but it`ll be like prohibition.

They want people to snitch on their neighbours, but certainly in Liverpool, there are areas of the City that would never snitch on anyone. It`s ingrained in the cultural fabric of the area from the young to the old.

You might not agree with what a person has done, it may even be appalling what they`ve done, but you never ever grass.

Was walking along the pavement earlier listening to music when a woman came out of her house with a dog and walked towards me. I instantly just moved right to the other side of the pavement to pass her and carried on. It's strange how natural it now is to just completely avoid human contact and that anyone walking by us could have a deadly virus.

I think you'll find the executive haven't been consulting the whole of parliament and have let this occur.

Not too sure tbh, I thought they had a cross party committee to decide these things. As Westminster is also regarded as a workplace the rules are probably also different from your normal pub. I believe they have also just announced that no alcohol will be served after 10.00pm....still shot themselves in the foot though....

Wouldnt even cross my mind

That's a Dixon of Dock Green era fallacy. Plenty of grasses in Liverpool. Hundreds of thousands are handed out by Merseyside Police each year to informants. Where there's cash rewards there'll be grasses. Liverpool or not.

For Covid, however, I doubt, beyond personal vendettas against neighbours there'll be much of that going on.

The better way of dealing with it is to make them social lepers, not pick up a phone to the coppers.

Civil disobedience would surely follow.

I agree. Was thinking about this at the weekend. Went out for a bevvy and the weather's got cold so it's harder to stay out and have a drink in the fresh air. Some of us stubborn ones still did but it was crap. Bars were fuller indoors and not all were that strict on distancing. You know what the consequence of that is going to be: sharp spikes in cases and lockdown. IMO the authorities need to find a way to help people maintain their sanity but to do it safely. Otherwise the next 6 months are going to be arduous

You do know there are incredibly strict procedures and many hoops to be jumped through before money is handed out to informants.

It`s not as simple as " thanks for blowing up your next door neighbours birthday party, here`s a hundred quid for you Derek lol "

Yeah, I was watching Hamburg Open last week, people were wearing coats, scarfs etc in the stands, already started getting cold there.
