Transmission rate given by Imperial College London report is 2.6. Lower than the estimated transmission rate of 3.5 yesterday, but still enough to cause concern. A carrier will infect up to 3 other people.

The good news is that most of those who have lost their lives are old and infirm. The youngest to have fallen is 36.

Current stats given by the CCP are 1,979 confirmed cases. Times that by 50 to match reality and that's almost 99,000 within China so far.

Also, as said earlier. Given the way many of these people treat animals I find certain irony that This thing has come from the very heart of the matter.

I'm not comfortable in saying that, think it's awfully unfair to the vast majority of people who don't eat weird crap.

Agreed, its a terrible generalisation but these markets and torturous habits are very common and nothing is done about it. Add to that the trafficking of parts of endangered animals from all over the world for “medicine” and a government that does little if anything to really deal with it then I lose some sympathy I’m afraid

Due to the government under which they live they have no power to do anything about it.

It's the same as halal meat isn't it? I would never knowingly eat halal meat for this very reason. It's cruel and barbaric.
