m.o.m for young b.o.g. yesterday

hit a free kick from the touchline, it came back out and boom, bounced off the lardy goalie and he managed to drop on it, 1st wasn't a save though he was just in the way, and not purposely either.

You can tell he watches Baines tbh, and saw a lot of Pienaar.

I'm not cool enough for abbro's (see what I did there?) who is this referring to?

Jagielka has taken a few set pieces of late. Not corners or close range free kicks, but some set pieces. I can't fathom how he's been allowed to do that. It's like sticking Osman in goal.

Anyway, with Baines injured and Mikky gone, I suspect Bily will take set pieces if played. If not then we need to worry. I can't think of another set piece specialist. Is Drenthe any good at them? Considering he's too small to stick in the box he'd be useful as a set piece taker.

Sheez. I forgot about this. A Baines injury truly SCREWS us.

Osman floats his corners too much, I'd rather someone took the effort of putting pace on the ball and hit the first man, than just playing the percentage floater into the box.

Drenthe has technique so you'd imagine he could take them, Bily if he plays, if Baxter got on I suppose he'd fancy em, maybe even Barkley.

I think Forshaw is the set-piece man for the ressies and with Arteta gone I think it might be between him and Wallace pushing for a midfield place in the squad/bench. He made his debut at Wolves last year, so surprised not to have seen more of him in pre-season.
