Bariloche has the best beer pubs in the country and Mendoza has the best wines in the world (you have to visit some cellars)

And Baires has the best argentinian team, Racing... you should go to a home game, great atmosphere and and you can enjoy watching Superliga leaders

We are visiting a winery in Mendoza but didn't know that about Bariloche. Will be there for the final on Saturday so will find a good spot to try some beers and watch the game. Gracias!

I really wanted to see a game in La Bombanera but Boca didnt have a home game when we entered the county or when we leave. If I'd planned better I could have seen Racing Vs San Lorenzo on the Sunday we arrived. I wanted to see Boca more for the history with Maradona as the 86 World Cup is really where I started to go nuts for football. The barrio of La Boca is very cool though. A real working class football neighborhood.

The highlights so far have been the waterfalls and monkeys at Iguazu and seeing the penguins on Isla Martillo. Es un pais reyyy lindo! :)

Just seems weird to have such huge games played with no away fans. Surely they could manage the security for just these two games at least.

Loving your country by the way. We have had 2 nights in Baires, 2 in Iguazu, 2 in Ushuaia and now just arrived in El calafate. Barriloche, Mendoza and more Baires still to come! Amazing sights, great food and very friendly people. And crazy about football.
I did similar route over about 4 months. Loved it

I second Bariloche. And conveniently they are all pretty much right in a line on one street over maybe 3 or 4 blocks, not to mention Alto El Fuego (STELLAR steak) and another smaller brewery on the hill overlooking the street with all brew pubs.

Rooting for River Plate in this... despise Boca after the pepper spray incident. Their fans were classy when we ran into some after they eliminated Guarani in Asuncion in the Semis a couple years ago. (After tiny little Guarani overcame a certain other Argentine side... :P )

Amazing spectacle in terms of atmosphere and occasion but don´t expect anything other than a cagey game. The off field antics usually well surpasses what you see on the pitch in these games.

Its amazing. Perrito moreno tomorrow :)

Were you lucky enough to do the scotch tour? Walk across the glacier and at some point pause, dig up some ice and they serve a whisky to all. Was booked up when we went.

Really liked El Calafate, try a disco while there. (El Chalten was my favorite stop on that tour, tiny little place, but great discos, great waffles, some craft beer, and beautiful view in all directions). Could easily envision retiring somewhere between El Calafate and Bariloche.

Edit: This kinda disco, not the Travolta kind.

Just been out for a nice steak in El Calafate now. Dont think ive seen disco on a menu!

I believe the tour we do tomorrow walking on the glaciar and that includes the whisky drink with ice from the glaciar. cant bloody wait.

On topic. Hope i find a bar with a good bit of atmosphere for the game although i know they are not big on watching in bars here.

Was at Defensores for the win against Corinthians as well as getting eliminated by River. Don't recall where i was for the match with Racing. Had we both been more active here could have met up for a Lomito (Paraguayan style) and watery South American lager.

Should Racing end up drawing either Santa Fe or Millonarios in the next year or so and you find yourself traveling, El Campin is not terribly far from my barrio and a lot of good restaurants and some decent craft beer bars.

2015 was a great run for Guarani. The funniest bit is after we knocked out Corinthians, at their next derby, some SPFC fans flew a drone with a Guarani kit and a "Jaja!" sign over the Corinthian ultras. Funny stuff. Digging to find a pic.
