Salaspils Concentration Camp, Latvia;

It's in a small forest, about 18 km outside Riga. I walked for 2 hours through 3 foot of snow (look at the top picture and you know I'm not exaggerating) trying to find the place. In the whole time I was in and around the forest (4 hours) I didn't see another person. Very surreal being in one of these completely alone (although the actual camp has been torn down, and it's now a memorial).

The creepiness of the place was added to by the presence these cyrillic signs all over the place, I presumed left over from the Russian occupation of Latvia;

Tallinn, Estonia;

You'll find a McDonalds next to the ancient and historic medieval city walls;

But in spite of this, it's a neat city with beautiful medieval streets in one part, and modern shopping centres just a stroll away.

Lost Coast in California

Driving along that coast looks fun. We did it a couple years ago (I didn't drive obviously) and it was really cool.

I don't have any photos from any places I've been abroad, but I love this place.

It's only at the coast of South England but it's so pretty.

And when you walk along this it actually feels like you're at the edge of the world.
