There a doc on Netflix and I did some googling after it and came across conspiracies over this tragedy.

For those who don't know, it's like our version of dunblane in the US but the conspiracies say that it was fake, it's was about gun control. Must be an insult to the parent who lost their children.

Watching a video on facebook which perked my interest.

The idea of education not being created solely for the sole reason of educating the young but in terms of slavery. More ideals rather than conspiracy but it mentioned things like the way schools are lined up, like an old factory, the fact grades are given like quality control, about how it's essentially judging a fish on its ability to climb trees only compared to what it is good at.

Got me thinking anyway, thought it was a good video.

I've had a muder on my Facebook over this, couple of people are nut jobs and started posting about this being a hoax a while back. Saying the teaches and kids are actors.

28 years teaching... Quite agree. It doesn't provide anything other than a facade of education, doesn't encourage or teach people how to think, just regurgitate facts for an exam. State education is there to break wills and provide unquestioning factory fodder. Private education is there to encourage, give confidence, empower and network.

That's been a big one and still ongoing. The links to crisis actors is particularly interesting including the Boston bombing and others.

As in all these instances once one question is asked it throws up so many more some of the theories at Sandy Hook are certainly very interesting.

There is a similar theory that thr news reporter and cameraman who were shot dead on live TV last year was faked so as to encourage stricter gun control.

These victims have family and friends who have to read this nonsense.

At the risk of giving the mods even more work, I've resurrected this thread as a more appropriate place to discuss some of the things that were staring to be talked about in the Trump and EU threads.

I'm not a great fan when conspiracy theorists start talking about the Rothschild's etc as I believe it is often thinly disguised anti Semitism (which I abhor).

That said I do believe there is some sort of global hedgemony that perpetuates the neo-liberal economic system well described in this article http://gu.com/p/5bfzp that @The Esk also linked to today.

The Bilderberg Group from what I have read in reliable sources such as The Guardian etc, holds meetings in secret at which new up and coming people (politicians, writers, opinion formers) are invited. People of different political persuasions are apparently invited and - as far as I can deduce from what I have read - attempts are made (not in an obviously sinister fashion but by flattery and persuasion) to draw them into this global hedgemonic thinking.

Apparently Dennis Healy was a founder member of the Bilderberg Group.

Now, I can also see this happening (whether through the Bilderberg Group or not) with US presidents or British or European political leaders. The pressure to conform to the global hedgemony is immense and if a president or British or European leader does conform they will have a relatively safe run as leader whereas if they don't they will potentially find themselves being destabilised.

I believe there are considerable vested interests in this country and globally wanting the continuation of the EU as it has been an excellent guarantee of the continuation of the neo-liberal political-economic system that acts for their benefit.

That said I recognise that there might also be vested interests in the dismantling of the EU - certainly among a few of the newspaper proprietors.

So, it will be interesting to see if Trump conforms to these vested interests in a similar way to what I believe Obama was drawn into doing.

In short - anyone with any radicalism that threatens the global interests of the powerful will be destabilised.

Why do you think the media are so strong against any labour leader (Kinnock, Foot, Corbyn) who appears to threaten this, whereas with a safe Bilderberg type of leader like Healey (even though he wasn't ever labour leader) or Blair weren't?

Hilary Clinton was and would have been a part of this global hedgemony . Trump (whose seeming intolerance to other racial groups I abhor) is not yet obviously part of it but will be under great implicit pressure to become so.

I think we are 20 or so years away from the collapse of the current global economic system but the cracks in it are starting with the frustration of the people and the rise of the left and right

Interesting stuff - the Adam Curtis documentary HyperNormalisation (available on the BBC iPlayer) hints at something quite similar. The last hour or so is particularly interesting as it deals with Trumps and his approach to media and political campaign is broadly similar to what Putin has been doing for years in Russia.

The theory being that the media will seek the truth and try to expose lies and inaccuracies. However by constantly changing the message and confusing the message they cant really break through.

He also suggests that algorithms that have ran social media for years also contribute to this, albeit it may be an unintentional consequence. They are designed to give you what you want, so if you like seeing cats falling off pianos you will see lots of them. If you have strong political/economic/libertarian views or whatever then you will mostly see stuff you agree with as the algorithm running your timeline does this.

The world is a much more open place thanks to the internet. There is an endless wealth of sources people can read to draw their own conclusions on matters of interest.

There was always an undercurrent of 'I'd never trust the government' but this tool (The internet) means we no longer have to make do with the age old media outlets for our information, nor do we have to invest considerable time in tracking down alternate sources of information. It's all there at a click of a button, and if you know where to look it's unregulated and raw. Some conspiracies are a load of old tosh but others really get the mind working into overdrive.

The big eye openers in this country to cover ups / conspiracy theories have to be Hillsborough and Orgreave. The scale of the attempt to blur facts was incredible, with the police, government and judiciary all compliant. It's frightening to think that with so many live witnesses they almost pulled it off. Imagine on a smaller scale what they are getting away with?. Thankfully TV and Photos helped untangle their web of deceit, relatively new forms of media when you consider how long man has roamed the earth for. The ability to bend the truth in traditional ways becomes more difficult as technology advances. Todays use of camera phones / twitter such a cover up would be almost impossible to pull off.

I did see something a while ago circulating on facebook (of all places) which was picking out false flag stuff and recent time events and they were pointing out how people were very similar looking to each other, giving examples of them as well. there was a lot more to it than just that though, did make me think that there is at least some possibility, based on the evidence provided.
