I honestly didn't mean to be patronising, but you're not alone in misinterpreting what a "theory" in science actually means. That widespread misunderstanding is constantly used as a stick to beat experts who have devoted their minds and lives to one field of study, by people who have no idea what they're talking about. Denial of evolution, climate change, a spherical earth etc.

It's interesting and I've seen documentaries about it but, not being a scientist, it's like trying to understand one scientist saying time travel is possible and another saying it's not. To be fair, horizon docs are probably the 'easiest' way for a lay person to comprehend it.

To clarify, I am open to the idea of there being a 'grand designer', as it has not been disproven.
I am also open to the idea of there not being a 'grand designer', as scientific theories point to reasons for creation etc.

I prefer my stance of being open to the reasoning of people who strive for understanding and knowledge, than any dogmatic approach of "I'm right".

Call me a lunatic, but I am sceptical as to the veracity of the moon landings. If NASA was able to put men on the moon in the late 1960s and early 1970s, why hasn't it (or any other organisation, for that matter) done so at any time over the course of the last 40 years?
