Yeah don't think we'll take up the option on him. Marginally better than Keane, but hasn't really improved us. Send him back in May, sell Keane, wave goodbye to Mina and hope that Holgate, Godfrey, Branthwaite and Tarkowski are enough for next season in the Championship.
Agreed, but at his reported salary, Tarkowski would have to go if we dropped. I think he'd want out anyway. He doesn't have long left to play top level football.

Hasn't been as good since the world cup, that break hasn't done him any good, prior to that he had a good partnership building with Tarko
Well... we'd lost 3-0 to Bournemouth and 2-0 to Leicester with them two in the team, like.

Both of them lack pace and Coady's got into the habit of running (or walking slowly) away from attackers, giving them loads of space.

Good point, but I have heard and read fans of other teams saying players who went away have come back different, it's bound to of had some affect.

Can't believe two months ago we were saying how dumb Wolves were to let him come to us and to put that insanely low purchase option in his contract...

How things have unravelled...

Not the players fault either although some will try to blame him because of his previous connections. He's a good solid pro and Southgate wouldn't have him around the England squad if he didn't feel there was a benefit. Again, it speaks to our management and how we do things more than it speaks of the players ability and performance. I get some folks want a scapegoat and Coady is an easy target but if there's muck to throw, this, IMO, is the wrong target.
