I think people underestimate just how bad Coady was. This is coming from someone who defended him early on. But he was awful.

We will only get old players this summer so this is a largely irrelevant point - at 4.5m or however much this wouldn't have been a bad decision, considering the alternatives are absolute garbage.

Ultimately I think this was the right decision but the question is, can KT build on this to make sure we have a proper replacement and depth on the bench? Time will tell. It’s going to be very concerning if we run through another series of injuries and we are either playing players out of position again or have to go with Keane, Holgate or Godfrey.
