So now we know what the farce of the non contract extension was actually about. This was no hard bargaining position for transfer cash from moyes, nor was it a come and get me plea to Europes top clubs. This was a dirty deal done between two jocks up to 2 years ago which has left our club high and dry whilst selling out to the scum. Cheers fergie and moyes.

Sounds unerringly bang on

RAWKesque that.

*facepalm*

Sad? No. Real life and how the world actually works? yes I think so. I've said elsewhere we Evertonians haven't fought our corner hard enough. It's my view the board knew what was happening and should have sacked Moyes as soon as they had knowledge of it. That would have shown our club are bigger than any manure or self serving manager.

Exactly. Don't forget our loyal captain, who despite years of being absolutely garbage and clearly not up to it, just so happens to leave a few weeks before this happens.

Been some rotten people at EFC in recent years

It seems like Fergie kept it secret until yesterday. If it was an open secret in football it would have got out before now. So, unless SAF quietly tipped Moyes off (which is possible), he won't have known that the job would be available. From what we've been told DM discussed transfer targets with Kenwright on Tuesday. So, it would seem like it's come as a surprise to him too.

It was probably already pre-arranged for the manager to go to London to scout Chelsea ahead of our final match and it would be strange if he didn't see Bill while he was there. It's slightly curious that DM took his agent/brother with him. Again that could have been set up to discuss his contract situation or even just a family thing.

So his contract runs until July 1st. I imagine that he'll bid his farewells at Goodison on Sunday, complete his obligations away at Chelsea and then have about a month-long holiday. I'd be surprised if some sort of succession-planning didn't take place though. I don't really think that Bill would want someone with new ideas to come in and start again. It would probably help to keep the likes of Baines and Jagielka settled if the culture inside the club continued. Which is why I'm leaning towards Neville taking over. Maybe even unofficially against Chelsea with Moyes to back him up.

There are reports than Neville is joining his coaching staff at OT.

Good. I never liked the idea of that clown staying on at Everton as a coach. He's about 40 and is still playing square passes across his own defence.

If he wants to come in once a year and so seminars on going to bed early and eating bananas that's fine.
